HP Serviceguard is the cluster solution for HP-UX or Linux. HP Global Workload Management adjusts workloads to optimize performance, and integrates with Instant Capacity on Demand so installed resources can be paid for in 30-minute increments as needed for peak workload demands.
We are going to configure HP Service Guard a package named MyPackage for 2 front end servers.
The package definition will be locate in the directory “/your_path/cmcluster/conf/PACKAGES/MyPackage /” on both front ends.
All scripts and configurations are the same on both servers.
How to configure the Cluster
Scan the configuration and create a cluster configuration file.
The following command will scan both nodes and write a skeleton of the configuration file. You will then adapt this file to the right configuration.
cmquerycl -v -C cmclconfig.ascii -n Node1 -n Node2
